PR Neswire reported that SKOUT conducted a survey from March 20-24 that was developed for National Superheroes Day in order to find out what the members thought about superheroes. The results were very interesting. They showed that men and women had favorites; men preferred Superman while women liked Batman, but over half of those who replied, both men and women, would like to have a Batmobile for their own.

One of the questions asked was, “What do you think a superhero in real life looks like?” Forty-four percent of the people surveyed said they are selflessness and 37 percent said they had no fear. Over 80 percent said they would like to be a superhero in real life, so Mr. Wiklund and SKOUT programmed the app for a day of giving to help others and give their members a chance to participate and celebrate as a real-life Superhero.

SKOUT is the largest, international social app that allows members to expand their network and social circle. It claims members in 180 countries and is used in 16 different languages, so when the leaders of SKOUT decided to raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation in San Francisco, it was no small feat. They opened the door for thousands of people to become superheroes and help somebody else.

In the past, SKOUT made financial contributions to the SF-Marin Food Bank, Muttville and Cat Town, and they developed national awareness for the 30,000 people facing hunger in the San Francisco-Marin area.
