Clay Siegall is a very fortunate educated and dedicated man, and the world is happy to have him and his research company, Seattle Genetics, searching for and finding new treatments for the most insidious of all modern diseases, cancer. Siegall is lucky that he knew what he wanted to do in his life at an early age. He studied Zoology at the University of Maryland and went on to attain his Ph.D. in Genetics from George Washington University. His professional life followed this straight and narrow path and resulted in his founding Seattle Genetics in 1998 where his workaholic spirit has flourished.

Amongst Siegall’s many achievements at Seattle Genetics is the development of the first antibody conjugate that was approved by the FDA. His company has developed numerous drugs and treatments that have been used by Genentech, Bayer, and Pfizer as well as many others in the drug manufacturing field.

In a recent article in Inspirery, he discussed the early challenges encountered by his company as well as the achievements his company has been able to accomplish. He explained to the interviewer from Inspirery that the company went through hardship periods in its infancy but is now able to sit proudly among the finest research facilities in the world.

Siegall’s focus and intellect have both allowed him to gain this high level of success.
